Dr James Sterrey is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist who specialises in oculoplastic surgery, paediatric ophthalmology, medial retina and comprehensive cataract surgery. James studied medicine through the University of Sydney Medical School. He completed his training in ophthalmology through the Prince of Wales Hospital training network in Sydney. During the early years of his practice as a doctor, James worked at the Orange Base Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital, prior to returning to Sydney to undertake his ophthalmic training.
Following the completion of his general ophthalmology training, James completed further training, through an overseas fellowship at the Royal Exeter and Devon University Hospital in England, focusing on eyelid and lacrimal oculoplastic surgery, high volume cataract surgery and paediatric ophthalmology.
